I haven't been very active on DA lately, unfortunately.  Every time I check the front page it kinda reminds me of a cross between Etsy and youporn (i.e. it's all random pony crafts, and naked chicks) so I find that quite discouraging as an artist who doesn't work in the medium of nailpolish, or take self portraits with my boobs hanging out.  That being said, I'm hesitant to let my membership go out of some strange sense of obligation and nostalgia. Plus, I have met some great people and inspiring artists through deviantart.

Ok, so I recently just signed up for Google+.  I really feel like the first ape who picked up a stick and slowly learned how to use it as a tool.  The learning curve here is pretty intense, it is unlike any other site I've used.  But, that being said, I have heard tons of good things, so I am going to tough it out and learn something new.  If I am not mistaken, I said the exact same things about facebook when I signed up for it as well.  This dog isnt so old she can't learn new tricks!
